Should I tour a college before I’m admitted?

Touring a college before you apply is not a requirement, but it can be beneficial in helping you make an informed decision about where to apply and potentially enroll. Here are a few reasons why touring a college can be helpful:

1.     Get a feel for the campus: Visiting a college in person can give you a better sense of the campus culture, student life, and facilities. You can see firsthand if the campus feels like a good fit for you.

2.     Meet current students: On a college tour, you'll likely have the opportunity to chat with current students about their experiences at the school. This can help you get a better understanding of what it's like to be a student there.

3.     Learn about academic programs: College tours often include information sessions or meetings with faculty members, which can give you a better understanding of the academic programs and opportunities available at the school.

4.     Demonstrate interest: Some colleges track demonstrated interest, meaning they take note of how interested you are in attending their school. By touring the campus, you can demonstrate that you're serious about considering the school.
